I had the honor of covering the red carpet at the Grammy Nominee Party at the W Downtown. The red carpet was filled with acts like B.o.B, Big Boi, Zac Brown Band and many more.
I was so excited when Emily asked me to do their engagement photos! Emily is someone that has been a big part of my photography career. She has stood in front of my lens on numerous occasions and she has been awesome to work with over the years. When I met Robert I was so happy for them both, they are a truly amazing couple! Emily and Robert were in need for a photo for their invitations and the paper. It was 40 degrees outside, but we figured we could make it work. I have a feeling I will be shooting a lot more of these guys before the wedding at the end of May, they were so much fun to work with.
I am so lucky to be surrounded by such talented people. One of my good friends Alicia recently had her work hanging in a local coffee shop. Each of her pieces of Cherokee Indian mosaics take a lot of time and hard work and I am so proud whenever she is able to share that with the public!
Georgia Lottery All Access put together a music search for Georgia talent to try out. When they got down to the final 12 they hosted a finale show at the 14th Street Playhouse where WSB-TV aired the event live. The winers included...Hip-Hop/Rap: KidSyc@Brandywine (Savannah), Pop/R&B: Xavier Lewis - The Antidote to R&B (Loganville), Rock: theKey (Macon) and Country: Hannah Thomas (Covington).
It was interesting to step back into my high school days and cover high school basketball with two of the biggest rivals in Gwinnett County, Duluth vs. Norcross. I was a Norcross Blue Devil myself and although I never played basketball I remember attending the games with Blue Devil Spirit. I have added a couple of my favorite images to this blog, but be sure to check out Path for all the photos and a write up on the game.
