Imogen Heap...

If you haven’t taken the time to hear what this artist is kicking out you need to. She began writing songs at the age of thirteen after her parents separated. She was classically trained in several instruments including cello and clarinet, however she taught herself a lot of what she knows in sequencing, music engineering, sampling and production. Her music contains manipulated sounds of all kinds to create something very unique and moving for her audience. I have heard some say she is the next Tori Amos and I can see the resemblance. The sold out show at the Variety Playhouse was full of energy. I was especially impressed with how mush she spoke to the audience and carried on conversations with them, but when the time came for her to start playing the audience was so respectful of the talent, otherwise they would find themselves getting looped into the song and Imogen would call them out for it. She had a great attitude and presence on stage. This show is one you don’t want to miss, but you may find it hard to get a ticket. Imogen is currently has eighteen shows left on her tour and eleven of those shows are sold out. The New York show was moved to a bigger venue and sold out again. This one is HOT and I have a feeling she has a lot more steam to push out there for us.

Sheveport, LA...

While in Shreveport visiting my husband I ran out and grabbed a few shots of the surrounding area around his RV Park. It was a different world there compared to the hustle and bustle of Atlanta.

Chomp and Stomp...

It was such an awesome day for an outdoor festival and everyone knew it, because it was packed. Some people were enjoying all the different chili that different groups had made. Some were enjoying the different bluegrass bands playing while some people checked out the art tents. Children played on the swings and in the playground area. The Humane Society was there with some sweet puppies that were looking for homes. I can’t wait till next year, what a great event! More photo CLICK HERE!

Bamboo Adventure...

I went out exploring with a fried to the near by bamboo forest. It was nice to get out and shoot something a little different. I hope to do more of this in the future. This place was crazy, one minute your hiking in the woods and the next minute your surrounded by nothing but bamboo. Bamboo a very interesting plant, being the largest in the grass family and growing up to twenty four inches in one day! Stay tuned for more adventures by CatMax.

Atlanta Pride Launch Party...

The Georgia Aquarium hosted the official kickoff party for the 39th annual Atlanta Pride Festival this year. The place was a great pick for the event. Guests enjoys touring the facility and all the beautiful aquariums while others enjoyed dancing to DJ Martin Fry’s beats. The Pride festival took place all weekend around the city and included a parade in Piedmont Park on Sunday. To see more click here and here.

99x's Brouhahahahaha...

99x’s Brouhaha was a big hit this year. The night included fortunetellers, DJ’s, a Photo Booth, and a costume contest. Pat O’Brian was kickin’ out mad beats with Dutch downstairs and kept the dance floor rockin’ all night! Upstairs different cover bands kept the night going with a break in between for the costume contest at Midnight. There were so many good costumes, but as you can see cookie monster was out of control with the cookies. My personal favorite was Gumby, but unfortunately he arrived late and didn’t make it into the contest, so a guy dressed up as “Quail” from the “Doug” cartoon on Nickelodeon took the $1000 prize.
